Innomar Strategies Opens New Third Party Logistics Center in Ontario

New Halton Hills facility, coupled with Innomar’s logistics center in Milton, expands Innomar’s storage capacity and ensures company is well-positioned to meet customers’ evolving needs

Oakville, OntarioInnomar Strategies, a part of Cencora and a leading provider of specialty pharmaceutical services in Canada, today announced the opening of a new third party logistics (3PL) center in Halton Hills, Ontario. The 92,000-square-foot, GMP-compliant facility will enable Innomar to offer enhanced logistics storage, which includes quality assurance and importation services.

As the pharmaceutical market in Canada continues to experience growth, the new facility significantly expands Innomar’s capacity to store and handle pharmaceutical and medical device products, including complex specialty medications that require rigorous temperature control. Specialty pharmaceutical products, which have grown at a rapid rate over the last decade, often require unique storage, transport and handling considerations.

Through its two logistics centers in Ontario — including its 160,000-square-foot distribution and 3PL facility in Milton — Innomar is able to offer expanded storage capacity across multiple temperature ranges: controlled ambient (15°C to 25°C), refrigerated (2°C to 8°C), frozen (-25°C to -15°C), and ultra-frozen (-40°C to -80°C).

"As our manufacturer partners grow their business and more pharmaceutical and biotech companies look to launch products in Canada, we continue to invest in solutions and infrastructure that enable us to meet their evolving needs and support the unique requirements of the products being developed today,” said Jason Zabransky, vice president of Specialty Operations at Innomar Strategies.

As a leader in specialty pharmaceutical services and logistics management in Canada, Innomar has extensive experience handling complex and highly sensitive products, such as products for rare and orphan diseases and cell and gene therapies. For example, as part of its agreement with the Government of Canada to manage the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines, Innomar — in collaboration with FedEx Express Canada — has supported the distribution of more than 78 million vaccine doses across Canada.

In addition to its logistics services, Innomar offers solutions and services across the commercialization journey, including regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, market access support and patient support services. As part of its integrated model, Innomar also provides nursing and clinic services and specialty pharmacy.

“While the path to commercialization in Canada is lined with unique challenges, we are uniquely positioned to provide integrated support that helps pharma and emerging biotech companies efficiently bring products to market and maximize commercial success,” said Guy Payette, president of Innomar Strategies. “Opening this new facility in Ontario reflects our commitment to grow and evolve alongside our partners and to continue to invest in solutions that enable us to maintain a secure and reliable pharma supply chain.”
