COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution

In 2020, when the Government of Canada sought partners that could support in the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, we were honoured to be selected as an integral part of the solution. Along with our partners at FedEx Express Canada, we distributed more than 50 million vaccine doses across the country by the end of 2021.

In 2020, the world was faced with devastating news as the COVID-19 pandemic was announced. As pharmaceutical companies raced to develop vaccines, teams across Innomar Strategies, part of AmerisourceBergen, worked tirelessly to safeguard the specialty medication supply chain and ensure patients continued to receive the treatments they needed.
As vaccine candidates progressed, the Government of Canada sought partners that could support the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines across the country.
We were honored to be selected, with FedEx Express Canada, as an integral part of the solution. And as Canada’s leading specialty pharmaceutical services provider, we were prepared for this moment.
Since the first shipments of COVID-19 vaccines arrived at our warehouse in December 2020 through the end of 2021, our teams (along with our partners at FedEx Express Canada) have distributed more than 50 million of these vaccine doses across Canada.
Throughout this pandemic, our team has shown tremendous resilience and commitment to help ensure residents in all corners of Canada had access to a vaccine. Our teams have worked around-the-clock to perform a variety of tasks—from performing the required quality assurance services when new shipments arrive, to preparing cold chain packaging solutions with pre-conditioned panels to protect the product’s integrity throughout the shipment.
During transit Innomar and FedEx Express Canada tracked these packages every step of the way, monitoring their location and the temperature of the vaccines within the boxes, ensuring the product’s safety and integrity is maintained.
And we’re doing it with one goal in mind: ensuring vaccines can be distributed to provinces and territories as quickly as possible.
